No longer in shame. Sharing our addiction struggle together.

The enemy wants us to think we are too far gone, we aren't loveable, and that we are alone in our struggle. This group welcomes those struggling with addiction to bring our sins, secrets, and shame to light. We pray this gives a place to defeat those lies, confront our addiction, and be reminded of who we are in Christ.

We will come together weekly, be in the Word, hear testimonies, break into separate male and female groups to comfortably share our praises and struggles, and pray for one another.

Meet the Rise Recovery Leads

Lexi Burger

Women's Lead

Hi I'm Lexi! I’m a wife, mom of three, and proudly sober since the end of 2020. At Rise Recovery, we step out of darkness and into the light by getting real about the challenges of addiction. Co-leading this group is such a joy because in 2020 I faced a crossroads where Jesus offered me a choice—to keep going my old way or follow Him—and I wanted Him! Watching others find similar freedom and growth in our supportive, Jesus  centered community is incredibly rewarding!

Sam Buxman

Men's Lead

Hey, I’m Sam. Two years ago, the Lord led me to Rise. Reading the Word showed me how lost and broken I truly was in my addiction, and that I needed to change. Rise Recovery has been a huge support for me during that time in my faith and struggle with addiction, offering me a safe place to open up, receive encouragement, and grow. As I step into leadership, I hope to support others in their faith and in living free from addiction.
