Long before the manger, the cross, and the empty tomb, God was already weaving a story of redemption through ordinary people. Across the pages of the Old Testament, we meet men and women who lived in the tension between what God had promised and what they could not yet see. A whisper of the King and Messiah who would one day fulfill it all.
The Old Testament invites us to trace the golden thread of promise that runs through Scripture and find its culmination in Jesus. Each act of faith, every deliverance, every shadow of sacrifice is a foreshadowing of the Savior to come. Portraits of faith, failure, and redemption that point to a greater story being written in us. As we walk alongside these carriers of the promise, we’ll see God’s faithfulness through the ages—and how we, too, are called to carry His promise into our world until the King returns.
