A Fully Acredited School of Theological and Ministry Training

The Rise School of Ministry is a fully accredited theological education and ministry training program that provides an environment for future church leaders to grow in character and competency while experiencing hands-on ministry and a healthy church culture.

This is lead by Rise City Church in Gresham, OR just oustide of Portland. The training is in partnership with Kairos University and lead by local theological training program.

Cohort Community

Gather with other residents to learn and apply biblical leadership principles and skills. Gathering weekly with your cohorty and bi-weekly with life and ministry mentors.

We can help you coordinate housing and will arrange community gathers and connection with your fellow ministers in training.

What is the cost?

$500/month for tuition and materials.

What degrees are being offered?

Both Bachelor's and Master's degrees are being offered.

When are applications due?

All applications must be in by June 30th, 2023 but space is extremely limited for the fall 2023 cohort.

When does the next cohort begin?

Late September 2023

Where is this program located?

This cohort will be at Rise City Church in Gresham, Oregon. This is not an online program. You will need to be physically present for teaching, mentoring, and ministry.

How many hours per week does this require?

Teaching and mentoring consume 7-10 hours per week, ministry experience will be an additional 10-15 hours per week depending on your specific role(s).

What if I already have college experience?

Great! You will need to request all of your transcripts be sent directly to Kairos for the determination of credit transfer.

How does the application process work?

Fill out the application with Rise City Church. We will review the application, and once accepted you will be invited for an interview. If you pass the interview process you will fill out an application with Kairos University, so that you are enrolled with them as well. We'll start classes in late September 2023.
