Each year as Christmas draws near, there is something special in the air.

We all feel it. From the decorations and carols, warm drinks and cozy slippers, it’s as if this season taps into a holy longing deeply ingrained within us.

You see, this season stirs up within our souls a burning desire we were created to crave: the advent of our king, the arrival of our savior—our God come near.

All of our lives, we’ve experienced the curse of the fall—the shadow that sin cast upon this wounded world.

But with the arrival of Jesus — hope came down, love drew near, our King came to conquer.

Death will be no more, shame will be undone, for with the advent of Jesus, The Curse is Broken.
