Here at Rise, we believe that the "Next-Generation" is the "Now" generation. Meaning, they should be given access, devloped as leaders, and a chance to lead in our church.
WHAT ABOUT YOU?
Are you 18-25 years old? Are you passionate about Jesus and His mission? Do you love to serve the local church? Are humble and hungry to learn? Are you ready to hustle hard—to contend for the faith once for all delivered to the saints? Are you called to lead a movement? It is no small honor to serve God’s church, and we want you to be trained for the work.
THE CHURCH
RISE EXISTS TO RISE UP AND SATURATE OUR CITY WITH THE GOSPEL
We are a Gospel-centered, Jesus-exalting, leader-raising, lost-seeking church in the center of the city of Gresham Oregon. By grace, we are seeing un- believable Gospel-fruitfulness.
Between countless baptisms and hundreds of leaders raised, God has been sovereignly moving among us. We don’t consider this a trophy to flaunt but a responsibility to steward. That’s why we feel it’s so important to invest in young leaders.
Nate started his journey at Rise in 2021. He’s our Young Adults pastor, on our executive team, and has been a part of 733 since it's launch in 2024.
He and his wife Abby have one daughter, Sunday. They love serving the young adults of our community. Nate is an avid golfer. You will most likely see Abby leading worship on Sundays or at a 733 gathering. She also leads our social media team!

What Will Training Actually Look Like?
LEADERSHIP DISCUSSION
Every Tuesday from 9am-11am, we will gather, hear talks on different topics, and spending time planning/executing together. These topics will give a general overview of different leadership strategies, doctrine, and characteristics of leaders.
HANDS-ON MINISTRY EXPERIENCE
During the week you will spend time with different ministry coaches, helping them run their ministries. Learning how to recruit, build teams, create communication plans, plan events, execute events, and gain valuable ministry experience.
COACHING & DEVELOPMENT
The key leaders of Rise will be pouring into Rise interns. In-depth leadership training will happen through our executive team and key leadership. We’re going to ask questions about the ministry you’re involved in, press you to think outside the box, and help coach you toward greater fruitfulness in ministry. There will be regular check-ins every other week where you will be assessed, given valuable feedback, and receive coaching as a leader.
COMMUNITY & CONNECTION
One of the most important aspects of leadership development is not just leading a team, but being a part of a core team of leaders. We will foster an environment where interns are both learning and just generally having fun together. Between events and time to hangout, this is more than a mere academic experience, it’s a community of young leaders being truly known and building life-long friendships.
