The Values of Rise
A church's values are the driving force behind a church's culture. And the reality is, healthy cultures never happen by accident. They are created. And the number one determining factor in a churches' culture is what they value. As Craig Groeschel puts it, "what we value determines what we do, what we believe determines how we behave."
So we want you to know our values here at Rise City Church. What you experience in our church is not an accident. We want everything we do to intentionally point you to Jesus, his love, and spur you on to follow in his footsteps. So here are our values:
We Are All About Jesus
The focus is always, only, fully, clearly, uncompromisingly and exclusively Jesus. Everything we do for him starts with what he has done for us. It is Jesus whom we are leading people to and the work of Jesus is how we get there! There is no hope without Jesus; but with him, the church is the hope of the world!
We Grow Together
We grow together, not apart. You can’t do life alone, so we value real relationships where you experience God’s family. We pick each other up when we fall, we stand by each other, we forgive, we know each other.
We Raise Up Leaders
We burn with a desire to help the body of this church rise up to the fullness of their calling and purpose. So we raise up, train, equip and send off leaders who will help others to lead lives that matter.
The ministry of the church is not about a select group of staff or pastors doing work while everyone else watches. The leadership of the church needs to fulfill their biblical call to "equip the saints for the work of ministry" (Eph 4:11-12).
We Reach Out
We’ve found new life in Jesus so we seek out those who are far from God with he intention of leading them towards Jesus Christ. The church does not exist for us, but we are the church and we exist for the world.
